SAP BW Process Chain does not automatically repeat step in background

Hello together,

I configured an ABAP step in a process chain to be automatically repeatet/repaired for 3 times with a waiting time of 30 seconds, when the ABAP step returns an error.

Sadly the process step is not repeatet automatically in the background as soon as the error occured and the 30 seconds elapsed. It only triggers the repeat and the 30 second waiting time when i open the protocol view of the chain. This pretty much makes the "automatical repeat" pointless.

Any idea how to fix this issue? We are on BW 7.5
