go to service.sap.com/instguides and select your component type of system copy guide. If you cann't find please give me your system detail like ABAP/ ABAP+JAVA , Netweaver '04, SR1 etc.

    Hi Ishtiaq

What you have to do is just a homogeneous system copy. Documents are available in Service Marketplace for system copy.

There are two types of homogeneous system copy.

    1. SAP standard method of exporting ( from source system) and importing ( in to target system)--But as this increases the downtime during export generally when you copy from production system you would like to avoid this method.

2.Second one is database dependent backup/restore method. Here you need downtime for exporting your CI only. No database export required , so less downtime ( may be 20 minutes)

Go through the following links, it will give you the detail

    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f055cbd0-97f1-2a10-c09a-907b811de000?overridelayout=true

Homogeneous system copy OR Remote client copy

You can login to service marketplace www.service.sap.com/instguides for more recent guide according to your system configuration

    Thanks and Regards

    Hi,

Before doing any thing keep in mind make same system as per OS point of view as well as Same file system also. then do same installation as u did on prodution system. then create Standby control file from production system and replace this with ctrl file of DR system.

also check the parameter of Oracle at DR and prd server in SP file. do necessary chages according ur requirment and Settings
