Multi Plant Production

Hi,

My company has 2 plants one in Canada and the other one in US. My company wants to manufacture a product in the Canadian Plant and then send it to the US Plant for testing.

How can I set this up in SAP?

I know I can change the Routing for the Canadian Plant for the product to include the Test Work center for the US Plant. But how can I transfer WIP from the Canadian Plant to the US Plant?

I also thought of creating 2 Products - A & B. Product A comes/manufactured from the Canadian Plant and then it gets transferred/transported to the US Plant where it is tested and becomes Product B. But Management does not like the idea of 2 different material numbers for the same product.

Please help me out with this issue.
