Hello All,
We have some questions on BPC.
1. Is BPC replacing BI-IP?
2. What types of planning is BPC used for? Is Demand Planning in particular available?
3. Where can we get training information, knowledge type material? We checked SAP Education, but none of the classes show any upcoming?
Thanks!

1. BPC is not "replacing" BI-IP, as both products stay in the SAP BusinessObjects product roadmap and statement of direction. However, we do lead in our sales/marketing efforts by positioning BPC over BI-IP. You can read a lot more about this topic from Ryan Leask's blog "SAP's definitive strategy for planning technologies moving forward: What's the word on BPC, BI-IP and SRC?
" [here|/people/ryan.leask/blog/2008/06/24/saps-definitive-strategy-for-planning-technologies-moving-forward-whats-the-word-on-bpc-bi-ip-and-src].
2. BPC has most often been used for financial planning, but there are numerous uses by customers of BPC for operational planning as well. The EPM solution management and development teams from SAP BusinessObjects are currently working on a next generation customer demand planning application. Keep watching SDN-BPX, SAP.com and the Service Marketplace for more details to come.
3. As for training content, right here on SAP Community Network, check out the tab at the top labeled eLearning. You will find some very valuable content on BPC. If you are involved with ramp-up projects you can also find information at http://service.sap.com/rkt-epm.
