CPU_COUNT in HP-UX

Hi,

The Superdome have 66 cpu's and the VPAR where is Oracle, 2. The oracle version is 9.2.0.8 and automatically sets this parameter to 66. Do I have to change the value to 2?.

that is a parameter that you should not touch.

You are in a very old (not supported) release.

I think you are hitting the bug Bug 5010657 "HPUX-Itanium: No rows from V$OSSTAT / incorrect CPU_COUNT", but no solution for 9i

I have already changed the parameter to 2.

If your Oracle DB Instanc is installed on separate host & it is having 2 CPU's then you need to set it to 2.
