Hello all,
Simple question: Is it possible to set up PI 7.1 so that it will receive/process e-mail? If so, how can this be done?
TIA
Simply use mail adapter.
The imap and pop3 protocol allows PI to pick the mails from mailbox and smtp and imap allows you to post mail to mailboxes. All these options are available with PI mail adapter.

Hi guys,
Thanks again for the information
So - from what I could see, there is no way to turn PI 7.1 into a mail server. What it seems to be doing is polling an actual mail server to see if items have arraved and then pulling the items from a mail server.
So, I would need to install a mail server first that receives e-mails ...
Is this correct?
TIA
Thanks for all the hints!

using the Email sender/receiver adapter you can receive/ send email into/from PI7.1.....the procedure remains the same as in 7.0....you need to have an SMTP setupso that you can send the email.....
