Dear Friends,

Can any one please explain the dunnig key functions?

While defining the minimum amout their is two terms one is open item and another one is total amount.

The definintion of total amount is all the items in an account means the items which are paid also? because I am confuse to understand the differece between total amount and open items. Please expain the both the terms.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

Mahendra Dev

There are dunning period and Grace period two terms we use.

If though one openitem is due but in grace period should not be dunned. Now assume another Open item crossed graced period too. Now he will be dunned and the item which is in grace period also be dunned.

This gives defination to open items and Total Item amount.

Dear Rajeev,

Lots of thanks for your reply.

as per my understanding on behalf of your explanation.

Total Open item can be total of item in grace period and also the item which is in dunning level

and the total item only the total of item which is in dunning level.

I am in the mid of chapter of Minimum amount per dunning level.

and want to clear the term the relation between the total amount and the total open items be greater than a minimum percentage.

Please confirm. Lots of thanks in advance.

Hi,

Dunning is used to send reminder notice to customer for non payment of dues.

Total amount = Total Open Items + Total expences charged for sending notices to customer + Interest Charged on due balance amount.

Just posting SAP note only to explain Minimum Amount/percent funda:

Minimum amount of the overdue items which is necessary to set a dunning level.

If this amount is not reached in a dunning level, then the items in this dunning level are assigned to the next lowest, and the system checks whether a dunning notice can then be created in this dunning level.

Total Amount icludes charges also. If you see tcode FBMP , you will see separate limits setup for charges and minimum amounts.

I would suggest you to do a little test of dunning in sandbox. Things will be more clear the.
