Adding Custom fields with new application enhancement tool-Few Queries

Hi Experts,

My requirement is to add some ERP fields on Account Identification Page. I was going through the below link:-

I have some doubts on the new application enhancement tool:-

a) How can this be enabled? I am not able to see the tool icon on my Web UI.

b) Can this be used to add ERP fields also? There are some component like ERP_H, which display ERP data on Fact Sheets. Can this tool be used to convert those fields into Search fields which can fetch data from ERP?

About your first question. Go to Personalize (top-right corner) and then under settings choose Personalize settings. There you will find option Enable configuration mode. Activate it and save the settings. Then the new button will appear on all views.

Regarding second question. I don't think you can use this tool for ERP purposes you are talking about.

Hi Rohit,

Your first part of the question is alreday answered. For the second part you just need to check the registry information maintained in AXTREG transaction and check the ERP component that you have mentioned. If these are there then you can add the attributes underthese components.

Hi,

AET(Application Enhancement Tool) is able to create custom field for almost all CRM application.

Please go to transaction AXTREG to see which "Business Object" is enhanceable.

AET is also able to create custom field for ERP on CRM system. It will enhance the BOL structure which is shown in ERP_H component. However, you need to create the field on the ERP system as well. This is not supported by AET.
