Visual Composer 7.0 Installation help

Hi all...i dont much about Visual Composer 7.0...As we are not have installed VC 7.0 in our comapny...Before starting work in VC 7.0 i have to install it first..So,i am searching about, how to install VC 7.0 on 2004s platform i.e for EP 7.0..

Can anybody plz tell me what are the prerequisites of VC 7.0 Installation as well as how to install VC 7.0..

replace hostname and port with you portal hostname and port.

Hi,

There is no need of Special steps to install VC.

VC will come by default with EP Usage type.

if your Portal URL is : http://<domain:port>/irj then its corresponding VC will be http://<domain:port>/VC (Capital letters).

and if you are gettingpermissions problme then assaign the VC role to the user with which you had loged in to the portal i useradministration.

I have attached VCrole to my Portal ID and run the mention URL i.e ....http://<domain:port>/VC (Capital letters).

But still getting 2 error notes ..

1. Server Error:Visual Composer services are not found .Contact your administrator.

2. This product requires MSXML Parser v4.0.

Hi,

You should install MXML parser 4.0 and Adobe SVG viewer to use visual composer. Install them and try agian.

Hi,

Did you apply the following role to the VC user?

1. Super Administrator

2. VC Role

3. Standard user role

After assigning above roles make it sure whether the three prerequisites are installed are not.

1.SVSView

2.Flash player adobe

3.MSXML msi

I above steps done the VC should be open by url http://<hostnm>:<port>/VC

After hitting htis url the flash player screen will loaded.

Hi

VC is installed when you install EP .

but as you are saying yu cannot find VC installed on your server.

Please Check once again if following components are deployed onto your server.

VCBASE

VCFLEX

VCFRAMEWORK

VCKITGP

VCKITXX

http://server:<port>/monitoring/SystemInfo

click on All Components.

if not then you can download them from service.sap.com and deploy.

Please check the defaultTrace File for getting more details of the error.

I will suggest you open SAP OSS message for the issue.

Hi Rajendra.......Just a couple a months ago we have upgraded our EP platform from 6.0 to 7.0.

And in prevoius platform we were having VC 6.0.

Now in this new EP 7.0 SP 18 we are not able to acess VC 7.0..

We have installed the respected S/W comp. as mention.

Now just in a search of how to activate the VC 7.0 in this new platform...
