Date/Time field type in database, but String in CRXI?

Hi All,

This is driving me bonkers. I have an excel spreadsheet, two columns, both of dates. Column 1 dates shows as a Date/Time Field type in CRXI, but column two is being shown as a String. I am trying to do date calculations between the two columns but am unable because one is a date/time, the other is a string. Why is it doing that??!! Why is it so hard for CRXI to understand that both columns are Date/Time fields?
