If a material is batch splitted whats the status that appears in picking column in Tcode-VL02N.wHATS the customisation and ste[ps required for batch split

Hi ,

if a material is managed in batches then you can carry out

a batch split for every component.this means that if you

split a batch ,you asssign more than one batch to one

component.In this case, each batch is displayed as a

separate component in the component overview.

Batch splits can only be triggered manually in the

production order.

The following requirements must be met for batch splitting:

(1)The material master record of the material must specify

that the material is managed in batches.

(2)Batches must exist for the material

you can use copy controls

Batch Split

Purpose

This is an example of a data transfer routine. FORM routines for data transfer allow you to fine tune the transferred fields during the copying process. This routine transfers data from the main batch item into the batch split items. All fields are transferred exactly as they appear in the reference item.

This routine is hardcoded into the batch split routine and cannot be changed or removed via configuration.

Example

When using batch split functionality, the data of the main batch item is automatically transferred into any subsequent split items.

Need more info.

You can define the criteria for selecting stock that is batch managed. If as a result a batch split occurs this is usually because tere is not enough stock from one batch and stock from another batch is selected.
