Hi there
I would like to set a filter when I click somewhere in the row (with dimensions and measures). It works when I set all the settings so that I can click on the dimensions and I get the result that I want. But as soon as I click on a measure, it does not work.
What do I need to do so that I can filter the name (for example) which is in the first row (dimension) altough I select a measure.
Thanks a lot for your help.
Roman
Can you share more context? Screen shots?
Because in my view, if I select a row the context is a dimension, and it should open up another report (e.g. OpenDoc) depending on the dimension selected. I am not following the part about measures.
Hi Roman,
Have you selected "All" value for the Selectable Area property in crosstab?
It may be a problem.
Can you show us the settings you have for your crosstab?
Thanks,

Here are some sreen shots
Thanks for your support.
Hi Roman,
To make selection on measures you need to choose the option "Data Cell" for selection type.
But this selection will disable your ability to select on dimension area.

Hi Poovarasan
Thanks for your message. So there is no solution to select both Data Cell and dimension area?
Best regards,
Roman
Hi Roman,
Actually both will be available for selection, but we will get (ALL_MEMBERS) as value for selection in dimension area if we have selected "Data cell" value for selection type. Vice versa for single and multi values in selection type which will not be helpful for filtering specific selection.
Thanks,
Poovarasan
So this means what I wanna do is not possible?
(To click on the dimensions and measures and it just selects the member of this row)
Yes, Since selection type is given as datacell, selecting a measure or dimension cannot be pointed to a specific detacell, so the selection of a measure or dimension gives all values.
