Hi All,
Actually I have assigned two three more storage location to some materials, now i want to remove the storage location for these materials.
Please tell if there is some possible ways??
Thanks
Pankaj Garg
forget about this MMSC tipps, you cannot delete thru MMSC and you cannot set a deletion indicator thru MMSC.
MMSC allows only deletion of a new entry before you hit save.
Some guys already told you that you have to flag the location for deletion in MM06. This is the first step.
Finally you have to run archiving with SARA object MM_MATNR. (make sure you have the most recent SAP Notes activated).
But in case you have transactional data for this storage location, like material documents or in purchase orders, deliveries etc.
then you better rename the location name to "do not use" and restrict the usage via authorization settings, until you have your transaction data archived.

Hello,
Thanks for your valuable time,
but in my case if i block the storage location for the material, and i run the valuation for the storage location (as if i run MC.1) then system shows all the materials for which that storage location was assigned (whether now storage location has been blocked for the material in MM06 t-code or not).
hope Now this is clear to you all.
Thanks

sure it does show you the storage locations in MC.1, as MC.1 is an analysis that gives you figures from the past.
As you used these storage locations, they are included in such reports.
Exact this kind of analysis are effected if you archive the org data from your material master with SARA.
Because then you still have records in the infostruture, but no more master data, hence you will get entries in your reports without any descriptions(which is usally taken from master records).

Hi,
You can activate Deletion flag for that particular materila in MM06 or there is a possibilyt by excluding the storage location in MRP run
Please see my reply below for excluding the storage location in MRP run,
T -Code -->OMIR - Define storage location MRP per plant
Enter MRP ind. as 1 - storage location stock excluded for MRP
