ORDERS05 item sales B fields mapping

Dear member's!

I guess I am late :-) but let me ask.

I am trying to create sales order in sap system via, basis type ORDERS05 message type ORDERS, processing code ORDE.

I am not able to find how and where to populate below sales order item (VBAP) fields,so that they can be updated at sales order-->

1. Material group (VBAP-MATKL)

2. Material pricing group (VBAP-KONDM)

3. Product hierarchy (VBAP-PRODH)
4. What to pass pricing type to update prices at condition tab with B: Carry out new pricing

I would love to find the best possible way to map these fields and pass on while creating sales order.

Thanking you,

MATKL is in the IDoc, check WE60. These fields are usually populated from the material master data, so I'm guessing it'd be unusual for the SAP customers to want them in an IDoc interface, hence they're not there. There are user exits available to manipulate the IDoc data but I'd urge you to reconsider the design in this case.

"Update prices" should not be relevant to the order creation. The prices have just been determined, so what's there to update?

    • This doesn't seem to be related to the original question, so I'd suggest to open a new question. Don't forget to specify which version you're in. Some folks already started posting S/4HANA questions here but majority is still on ECC, so that could cause many misunderstandings.

I'm not familiar with this particular message and by name can only guess it's using BAPI instead of, essentially, BDC that ORDERS... is using. So I'd check how the parameters need to be filled in for BAPI and go from there.

You can also always try debugging. Unfortunately, such questions rarely can be answered without looking in the system.
