Material Master with alpha numeric

Hello Experts

How to achive multiple alpha numerice exteranal numbers , such us one group have two alpha numeric , the second one have four aphanumeric chars and the third one have six chars ?

HI

Create a group in MMNR and assign all your material types to this group.

Now assign number range " 1 to zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz " to this group.

Alpha Numeric Means user has to enter the Value.

Then what is the Problem you are facing at the time of Entry means creation of Material Master?

Thanks for your reply. I do not want by material group .. I am referring about group of material type

Hi,

We can not assign number range for Material group.

If you have different material type, u can achive this requirement in transaction code MMNR.
