Dear Experts,
Due to Non availability of free space in c drive thinking to compress sbo common ldf file.
Is it ok to compress sbo common ldf file
Regards,
Karthik b
Hi Karthik b,
You can compress it, but that will slow the system down. I would not recommend it. I would advise to include the SBO-Common database in a normal maintenance job, and shrink it on a regular basis. Also, it would be much more effective to do something about the size of the company database.
The SBO Common ldf file should not be much more than about 10% of the size of your company database. If it is a lot larger than that, you should check that the recovery model has been set to Simple. If it is set to something else, please change it to Simple, and perform a shrink operation.
Regards,
Johan
