Problem in RAR 5.3 SP08 with the ruleset

Former Member

Hello Gurus,

We have two GRC Servers , one PROD and one Testing.

We just upgraded the test system with SP08 and i cant delete the ruleset anymore , like i could.

Before SP08 i could upload one empty ruleset (test system) and my result was the deletion of the ruleset. After that step i uploaded the actual active ruleset from the PROD so that the two systems have the same ruleset.

Now that i cant perform this , i cant test the Test system efficiently and compare the results with the PROD.

Is there another way to delete the ruleset and upload the one from the PROD ?

best regards,

david

What kind of error do you get - is it something about "wrong system"...?

Hi,

You can not delete ruleset if it is assigned to risk.

It will give you error message like Rule set cannot be deleted because it is assigned to a Risk

So, you have to unassign the ruleset from risk then try to delete.

Sudip.

Hello Frank ,

the error i get is this :

Error in table dataVIRSA_CC_CDPOS

SQL:=>Insert into VIRSA_CC_CDPOS(OBJECTCLASS,OBJECTID,CHANGENO,TABNAME,TABKEY,FNAME,IND,OLDVALUE,NEWVALUE) Values(?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?,?)

Record::Line Number :232099 : D VIRSA_CC_CDPOS FUNC MM10 534 VIRSA_CC_FUNCACT MM10MSC2NSCH STATUS U 0

But i realized the ruleset can be deleted and new uploaded allthough there are some error messages.

I am still analyzing the issue .

If you open up a note with SAP requesting the script to delete the ruleset that should fix the issue.

David,

SAP does not provide the SQL script to delete any of the data. They will provide you with information about all the tables and you can create a deletion script and run it against the database.

SAP will provide a deletion script to remove connectors, rulesets and mitigating controls. Hope this helps...

Daniel,

SAP used to provide. They do not provide anymore. I have already asked for it and we were told that SAP has changed it's policy.
