DB2E 8.2.4 not getting installed on MI7.0 client

Former Member

Hi All,

I am trying to install DB2E824 on my MI7.0 client for MAM 3.0 application.

But when I am trying to install this db2e component, after assignment it to my device, no applet is coming to install db2e.The screen of MI client shows "Installation in Progress" status with a syncing symbol, but its not getting stopped.

Under SAP Mobile Infrastructure\bin\ci folder, in citrace i am getting this message mentioned below:-->

"Cannot read install.xml from installation archive (D:\Program Files\SAP Mobile Infrastructure\bin\ci\archives\DB2SE824\1.0\DB2SE824_1.0.zip)

java.lang.NullPointerException

at java.util.zip.ZipFile.getInputStream(ZipFile.java:286)

at com.sap.ip.mi.ci.FileManager.setNextArchive(FileManager.java:76)

at com.sap.ip.mi.ci.ExecutionController.startNextArchive(ExecutionController.java:75)

at com.sap.ip.mi.ci.ClientInstaller.main(ClientInstaller.java:117)

On NWA,the staus of the db2e addon is "Deployment activated".

Is there any step which I am missing? What could be the possiblities for this?

Please help me to resolve this issue, because my MI client has gone to an infinite sync loop.

Thanks & Regards,

Abhivyakti

Hi Abhivyakti,

Inside the MI/bin/ci/archives/db2e/8.24 there has to be a zip file.

Can you try opening that file using winzip or winrar?

Does is open properly?

Can you check the contents of it?

It must contain a install.xml.

Can you reply with the complete structure of this zip?

Thanks & Regards,

Abhijit

Hi Abhijit,

Yes,I have DB2SE824_1.0.zip file under this path "SAP MI\bin\ci\archives\DB2SE824\1.0".

I have opened it successfully with winrar.

The folder is having instal.xml and 2 folders of meta-inf and db2eupdate.

Please let me know if more inputs are required from my side.

Thanks & Regards,

Just to clarify, Is it install.xml or instal.xml?

Also insode MI/bin/ci folder there will be citrace.txt

Can you paste here the contents of that file?

It might contains some errors.

Thanks & Regards,
