Mking Long Text Box as mandatory

Hi

Can you please advise, what development is/are required to make Long text box mandatory .

I am working on requirement where we did development and added 5 different questions in Long text box of IW24. Answer of those questions, user has to record while creation of Notification.

There are chances if Long Text is not mandatory, then user can miss to record it.

We want this field to make mandatory.

I remember when we just implemented Service Now someone made a field mandatory when it really shouldn't have been. This forced every single IT person to put something in a field just to get through with resolving a ticket. Some people just put "X" there and some typed "Service Now sucks". True story. 🙂

The usage of texts to drive business logic is not recommended. This never ends well.

Search for a user exit/ BADI / enhancement in the transaction and add proper input fields.
