Hi guys.

Could somebody give me an recommendation about the implementation of the related SAP Notes from 2421394? Do we really need a sandbox? Or could we implement all the related snotes in the golden Client in development? Now, the notes are one year released, and corrected over the past. Please give us a hint about that!

It depends on what Release and Patch Level, your system is configured for. In the OSS note itself, it has been indicated and you can very well compare with your system.

Hi G.Lakshmipathi.

Thanks at all at first. That is all totally cleared, the system state is o.k. Release is fully useable.

But, what i wanna know, its a global template rollout! I checked all snotes and checked all the near 290 notes incl. the steps in customizing and table changes and Manual activ. at all. And it seems not so complicated, to implement all the snotes one by one! You have to follow the line of impementation for the current state of the system, related to the dependencys of note to note. So, i gived a recommendation about the implementation via SAP Activate. But Iam the SAP basis admin guy. But there are some pitfalls, the developer has to follow the rules, during the Project, and thats the case. I know it, from the past in some cases, implem. on a sandbox at first. So, do we start really implement on dev, or be safe on SANDBOX System, check and transport from sandbox to dev golden Client the notes transports in a row.

Or implement directly and save the costs for the sandbox system. Whats your project experience with GST India?

If you want to do a POC.
And CIN (Country Version India) is part of your current system.
Then trying that out in SANDBOX make sense.

Else, if that is fresh setup for India.
Then you can directly go with your GOLDEN Client.
Most of the Indian Multi-national Companies with legacy CIN have already implemented and running GST on SAP.

In my current organisation(US based), we have this on-going project, which is a fresh implementation.
Where we adopted the later approach.
(FYI, I'm not part of that project.)

Remember, by applying those notes related to GST.
One major change will be related to material master.
Commodity Code is known as Chapter ID in India.
And that is one of the critical factor determination of tax rates for GST.

Cheers,
JP
