Hello,
I'm trying to create a document in Lumira Designer connected to BI Platform. When I try to create a document I get this error message.
Here are the specifications of my system
1- Lumira 2.1
2- SAP BI 4.1 sp6
3- I have SAP BI and Lumira client + server installed on a virtual environment of windows 2008 server.
I see there is a sap note related to the issue that I might be experiencing. its sap note:
2541280 . But I'm not able to understand it, please guide me, thanks
Lumira 2.1 is not supported with Bi4.2 Sp6, earlier supported version is 2.1 SP1 - see KBA https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2681932
Also, what exactly in KBA 2541280 that you not able to follow ?

Denis,
You meant 4.1 SP6 right.
Good catch Lumira 2.1x does not support 4.1 Sp6 at all -- support starts with 4.1 Sp8
Here is PAM https://support.sap.com/content/dam/launchpad/en_us/pam/pam-essentials/TIP/SAP%20Lumira/SAP%20Lumira...
Thanks for responding Dennis. I was able to create and save lumira document on BI server after installing BI 4.2sp6 and Lumira 2.1 sp1. Although upgrading BI4.1 sp6 to BI4.2 sp6 was another hurdle on which I gave up. So I ended up installing a clean BI4.2 sp6 and lumira server and client.

Looks like you are trying the Designer client from the server. You need to install client on client machine. As Denis mentioned above, 4.1 SP6 is not supported for 2.1. I was not sure how you are able to install the Lumira server version also. I thought there will be a check before installing the Lumira server on unsupported version of BI.

Hi Tanweer
Did you try creating host file entry in your local machine as mentioned in KBA?

Hi Ibrahim,
Could you please elaborate what you mean by creating host file entry? when I was finding a solution to this issue that I faced I did see some sap note that mentioned that exact same thing to "create a host file entry in local machine". But I couldn't understand on what that would help me achieve, maybe it was beyond my understanding or maybe the sap note was summarized and not detailed enough for me.
However I was able to resolve this issue based on Dennis's comment.
Regards,
samique
