Xcelsius connection to Crystal Report

Hi,

Can we connect Xcelsius directly to Crystal report without Live Office? Becasue I can see an option in Data Manager Xcelsius 2008 - "Crystal Report Data Consumer".

I know we can connect SAP BW via QAAWS for Xcelsius and we did that successfully.

But now we try to build Xselsuis dashboards on top of SAP R3 data. We know Crystal reports can talk to R3 directly, so we like to know whether Xcelsius can connect to Crystal reports to fetch R3 data. We don't have Live office set up in our implementation.

Appreciate any ideas.

Is this Flash Variables an additional component? Or available in Xcelsius 2008 product itself?

I'm not sure if it's version specific but it should be in Data > Connections and be available from the dropdown menu.

You could use the Crystal Report Data consumer that is also in the menu list.

Jai,

No it is not an additional component, goto Data --> Connection --> Add.

It is available in both Xcelsius 4.5 and Xcelsius 2008 as well.

Still I could not find whether I could build Xcelsius Dashboard directly on Crystal reports (data) without Live Office connections.
