Hai SAP Gurus,
I am currently taking ME2N [ PO Pending value] Report by setting variant in input screen & setting my own output layout [ only four field ie.Plant, Material,Currency,Still to be delivered value will be visible in output screen ]
I set Back ground in sm36 using my variant & i saw my output in sm37.. But cant get output as my desired field.. Even i not get currency & still to be delivered value..
Kindly guide me.
Thanks in advance..
swetha
I guess you are mixing selection variant (what you enter in SM36 next to the report name) with Layout variant.
are you using ALV output?

I understand what you want. But it is not possible to get it if you have no field in the selection screen to tell SAP the layout of your choice.
I get many more fields in the spool of the background job than I have in my layout variant.
Have you done the customizing of the report yourself?
OLME > Reporting > Maintain purchasing lists > scope of list > define scope of list
How is the scope of list defined. what boxes are checked there.

I am still the opinion that you cannot get a personal laypout for a ME2N batch run, as there is no layout field in the selection screen, that would allow you to tell SAP in what layout the report shall be issued.
I wonder why you dont have the same fields in the background like me.
Ask SAP to get clarification, and dont forget to inform us about the result
Ok. To which Box i select for Still to be delivered value..? Total Open quantity or any other box to select ? guide me

There Many Scope of list is there.. I am using ALV only..
In ALV, the Following things are marked as Tick
1) Qty/Val in BUn/LC
2) Open quantity/value
3) Stock in Transfer
4) Qty. for account assignment
5) Release
In Below, Settings for ALV Grid Control
Use ALV control is marked as Tick

What scope of list to you use in ME2N (it is the 3rd field from top in the selection) Do you really have a scope that is called ALV? Usually you have BEST as default.
Okay, I have the very same settings in BEST.
This are the header lines of my ME2N when I execute in batch:
Line1
Purch.Doc. Item Type Cat Vendor/supplying plant POrg PGr Doc. Date Material Short Text Matl Group POH D I I A TrackingNo Plnt SLoc Quantity OUn Quantity SKU Net price Crcy Per Agmt Item Targ. Val. TotOpenVal Open value Rel. value
Line2
Quantity OpenTgtQty Rel. Qty Val. Start VPer.End To be del. To be del. To be inv. To be inv. QuotDdln S Coll. No. Number Ctl Info Rec. Number Grp Strat Rel.stat Rel IStLoc Name of Vendor OPU Tx Tax Jur. Net Value I ConfItemNo Sort No.
Line3
Ext.H Cat. RU ReqmtPrio. Proc. Doc.
I Usually give "ALV" in the scope of list instead of Default "Basic" in ME2N Screen.
This is my Desired Output Field & I get this output report neatly in Foreground.. But I cant get all my desired field in Back Ground Job [ sm36 & sm37 ]- output report. Kindly guide me.. how cani get the same in foreground & back ground..
The Following is the Desired output Field.
1) Plant
2) Vendor
3) Material
4) Purchasing Doc. Type
5) Purchasing Document
6) Item
7) Document Date
😎 Still to be delivered (value)
9) Order Quantity
10) Still to be delivered (qty)
11) Currency
12) Item Category
13) Acct Assignment Cat.
Dear Swetha,
I would like to suggest something:
1. I assume you already using a scope list with ALV set.
2. preview the report using foreground first, then you must have set an ALV variant for you desire layout.
3. Then go to setting --> layout --> manage --> set your ALV layout as default
Then after you run the repot in background the output will get from the default layout which is your desire layout.

Hi, Swetha,
1) Set dafault layout in ME2N transaction code with desired fields you want, that default layout will only displayed in SM37 -spool display.
2) Now if in your layout there some last fields are skipped or not appearing then at the time of displaying spool, press display with maximum width option (adjacent to spect.icon) instead of pressing display button(spect. icon).

that is not working for me. I have about 65 fields in the spool that is created in backgorund.
My standard variant that is flagged as Default has only 4 fields, however in the background job I get a spool that has all 65 fields, which is even much more as the SAP layout 1DEFAULT has. I dont have any variant that has the fields that I get in the spool of batch job to ME2N.
Hi Swetha and Jurgel,
For transaction code first of all change scope of list to "ALLES" and thne execute report, then select fields you want -->
go to > Layout>Save --> save the layout
Now go to-->layout > manage>make it default variant
Now if you set backgrond job i hope it wiil fields that is available in layout only.

Hi, I think this problem is caused because you use ME2N to define the layout.
In SM36, we use ABAP Program: RM06EN00 to set the background job, so if you define the layout use transaction code ME2N, the layout cannot used in SM36.
You can define a layout in transaction code SE38, select the program RM06EN00, click execture, then execture, now you can see the default layout is which you get in SM36. And you could change the layout here. When you finished it, save the layout and set it as default layout. Then goto SM36, create a job to test.
Good luck.
