Hi experts. BEx Analyser gets nowhere when i start it. It seems Excel is launched but everything remains inactive and grayed and i cant use any tool bar. What surprising me is that The BEx Analyser (SAP BW 3.x) is launched successfully but it comes under the same installation. The configuration is as follows:
SAP GUI 7.10 Patch Level 12
BW 3.5 patch level 4
BI 7.1 patch level 701
Microsoft Excel 2007 Professional Plus Edition and i have .NET Framework 2.0 service pack 2 Installed.
Please assist me with a solution to get this solved.
Also tell me if i should expect different results with Excel 2003. Thank you in advance.

Can you try launching it through Backend->RRMX Transaction.

Please try the following....
Uninstall:
.NET Framework, if this is not 2.0
SAP GUI
Install:
.NET Framework 2.0
SAP GUI 710 - install GUI and Business Explorer
GUI path 11
BI Add - on for GUI "bi710sp09_900-10004472"
Other Way:
Applying the patch attached to the OSS Note 1121263 - BEx Analyzer 7.10
Applying the Microsoft patch : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/908002/
Usually this will work with Excel 2003,Give a try.

Thanks for the information Murali, the problem is i do not have access to the SAP Sevice market place. I am using trial software downloadable from the SDN website, but the patches aren't available for download on this site. How can i have access to BI Add - on for GUI "bi710sp09_900-10004472". I will appreciate your assistance. Good day.
