GS1 Datamatrix Barcode in Smartform

Hi,

We want to print GS1 Datamatrix barcode on SATO thermal printers through SMARTFORMS. As per SATO user manual 'SAP Device driver for SATO printers', we created new device types, output device.

Created new barcode definition for GS1 datamatrix with UNDEF and print control 'SB013' maintained as hex value: '1b324435312c30342c30342c3030302c3030301b44535d6432'. We passed parameter with Application Identifier (i.e. 93 - Internal company code, 240 -Additional product identification, 10 - Batch Number, 310 - Quantity in kg., 11 - Production date, 15 - Best before date etc.). Barcode printed on SATO printers. But when we scan it, we get warning message that 'GS1 (EAN) signature ']d2' is not encoded as a control character FNC1 as specified, it is encoded as plain text'.

Please help in this matter as well as what separator character should we use after AI. As for GS1 128 barcode we are using '>8' and there is no problem in GS1 128 barcode.
