Chart is a web item in the template and the same can be transported. You will be transporting only the web template and not the chart. The chart is rendered when the template is executed.

Or are you taking about charts in a workbook..?

Yes..I am talking about charts in workbooks. can we do that...Like I want when user opens the report he should see the chart only.

Is that possible?

A simpler way is to build your cchart using data from the workbook rather than directly put a chart item. You could look at having the workbook refresh automatically on opening and build your chart based on excel provided functionalities. That way you get a lot more flexibility in your charting. You can transport the workbook with both optionos - using a chart item or using a chart from existing excel functionalities.

How can we set a workbook to refresh automatically upon opening?

Is there some setting or something for that?

The default is to refresh upon opening ... if you want to set any specific functionality - you can use macros to achieve the same.

Save the workbook in development with chart visible and transport the workbook. If you save your workbook with chart visible, when user opens the workbook he/she will see the chart by default with the saved results.

As mentioned if you dont want to refresh the workbook upon opening, then do specific workbook setting.
