Difference between One step and 2 Step in table maintenance Generator

what is the difference between One step and 2 Step in table maintenance Generator ....?

Is there any advantage if i use 2 step .........?

hi,

one step: Only overview screen is created i.e. the Table Maintenance Program will have only one screen where you can add, delete or edit records.

Two step: Two screens namely the overview screen and Single screen are created. The user can see the key fields in the first screen and can further go on to edit further details.

Hi,

The difference is that with one screen you can enter multiple entries at one time.

Incase of 2 step the key fields are seen first and then selecting them you can go to on the 2nd screen to add additonal details.

2 step is good when you have lot of fields in your table.

Its all depend upon the logical seperation among the data you are looking to insert/update in your table.

If the data is different or if some data is conditional over the some other data then you logically divide the set of fields among two screens , else go ahead with the single screen..its easy.

Dear T-Code,

Many of the members have given their inputs (Thanks to all of them). You might have understood what they said but I would strongly advise you to create table maintenance generator and add some entries in both ways (Single Step and 2 Steps). this is the only way you can understand 100%.

I think creating a single screen with help to enter many entries faster.
