planned orders vs purchase requisition

Hello,

We have a business requirement currently for creating planned orders instead of purchase requisitions in MRP live. While running MRP Live, for externally procured materials, planned orders need to be created instead of purchase requisitions. Are there any changes which could be made in customizing or any notes which can be applied for this ?

Hello

By default, MRP Live will generate purchase requisitions for materials procured externally. This is a standard system behavior that cannot be changed in configuration or master data.

The solution is to create a custom implementation of BAdI AMDP BAdI PPH_MRP_SOURCING_BADI and change the value of field DELKZ.

Is there any specific reason, for this Business Requirement ? (To generate only Planned Orders, for the externally procured Items)
If the Material is to be procured externally, ultimately that has to process through the Purchase Requisition>>> Purchase Order >> and so on.
If this is Yes, may be, we don't need any more Planned Orders.(Also, Purchase Requisition is only the Internal document)

This is a brownfield implementation. so business doesn't want to change anything. So they want to stick with planned orders
