How to send the locale along with Date Formatter in SAPUi5?

Hi Experts,

We are working on one Custom SAPUI5 application development. In my application, I need to show the month on the chart. it is getting displayed properly. am using the stacked_colukmn chart for displaying. it should work in both English and German.

when I choose the month value from the chart, I use date formatter to dd-mm-yyy proceed further. in the chart, it is displaying in MMM-yyyy format.

when I run this app in the English language it is working fine. but when i try to run in German, some specifics month am getting same(default ) values.

example: when it is running in German language, October month getting displayed as Oktober. but it took that as a January.

plase, see the image for more clarification.

But if I choose other than May, March, October, December from the chart it works as expected. It checks the first three letters I guess.

Please help me to sort it out.

Thank you,

  • Are you saying that the Month string under German was incorrect when language was switched to German from other language (like English)? Was it working if German is the initial language?

First of all, chart engine would not perform any translation according to language but those string must be in correct form (i.e. already translated) in the dataset before passing to chart for rendering.
