Activation of BPIA project with tree movement

Former Member

I will be participating in a conference in the next days, and I want to show a small execution of BPIA activating a project.

I think that I have already seen somewhere that it is possible, after activating a project in BPIA, to see the activation process jumping from one activity to the next, setting an orange background on the current line, until the complete activation (or until an error occurs). This feature would be perfect for a presentation, however I don't have the smallest idea where it is set.

When I run my projects, I only get the names of the eCATTs changing in the bottom status bar of BPIA screen, the tree does not show any movement.

I was trying to find it in debug, but until now with no success.

Is there such flag? Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Thanks in advance!

Hi david,

I think you are talking about recording and playback.

If you record a SAP transaction using SAPGUI driver in ecatt and execute it with UI setting

"Highlight SAPGUI" then you can see your recorded screens and controls highlighting in red boxes.

When you are in execution screen

Goto UI control tab and under section SAPGUI

you have a check box - Highlight the called GUI Elements.

This will work as i have told above.

If you dont know how to use eCATT, you can use SAPTUTOR to show step by step demo.

best regards

Hi Davide,

If you are talking about Best Practice Installation Assistant in tcode /n/SMB/BBI, i think i have not seen any such tree movement while activating.

If you have set the activate flag for the tree nodes, you will only be getting to see the current processing node in the status bar.

I worked sometime back, so there might be such enhancements which i may not be aware of.

It was not possible to identify such a functionality.
