RFID Device Controller

Hi,

We are going to do RFID scenario using SAP AutoId 5.1.

From the below link, I came to know that SAP collaborates with selected vendors for the RFID Device Controller.

http://help.sap.com/autoid20/helpdata/en/e8/1f0d40c04af72ee10000000a1550b0/content.htm

Could you please provide the Vendor details, so that we can proceed further without any issues.

Regards

Sara

    Sara,

I don't think there is any trial version of device controllers available. You can check the websites of various Device Controller providers given in the link above. (Ichecked a few of them but didn't get any trial version)

The question on the best RFID device controller should be asked to the RFID device provider. The company which has provided the RFID devices should tell you about the device controller they feel is the best for their devices (based on their other client experience).

You can look at XML Schema 1.3 from Zebra Technologies Corporation or xDDI 5.1 from Acsis, Inc.

    Hope it helps.

    Regards, VIkas

    Hey Sara,

It looks like I am having the same problem as yours. I want to make my RFID Fixed reader talk to SAP AUTO ID Infrastructure. Will biztalk RFID server be enough for this or should I necessarily have a Device Controller? If i need a device controller then wat should it be? a web service? Also, kindly let me know if you have found a way out to figure the format in which we get the tag information from Biztalk RFID. What is the input SAP AII is expecting? a xml data/ web service message?

Kindly help with any related documents. Thanks a lot.
