Strike Through Text

Hi,

I am developing a smartform with a requirement to strike through texts of an item if it is deleted.

it will be like this:

item number material name material number quantity price.

I am able to generate the output with this property by positioning the underline accordingly in the smart style. In the documentation it is given that this is they way to achieve the 'strike through' property.

i.e. on the preview screen i can see the desired item texts getting struck through.

But on printing on a paper, the underscore is turning into underline. and i am getting

item number material name material number quantity price.

Also, when i am downloading the OTF data into a pdf file and printing i am getting the strike through properly printed.

Only when I am directly printing through SAP (which is what the user will do), that I getting the underlines.

Please help.

Hi this is little out of topic, but is there a possibility to strike line from internal table in smartform if it meets some condition? Something like dynamic formatting.

According to the first post, you do something like that.

Thanks.

Hi,

U have alredy create a Character format or Paragraph format for Underline. In that Format In Underline Check box Click 'Multiple Selection' button. There u can give 'Spacing' (0.15- TW). Here u can change the values and see the O/P.

Thanks for your answers.

@ Nick: Thanks, I am going to ask my basis team.

@ Usha: Please read the question carefully. I have been able to achieve what you have stated. The problem is faced while printing.

@Sravanthi : It was a similar post as mine. Dunno how i missed it while searching. But they haven't found the answer either. And I cannot create so many windows. It is at item level and it can have several varying lines. Not a practical approach. Thanks anyways.

Hi,

The problem is probably due to the printer drivers that are being used not supporting what you need.

Checkwith your basis team how the printers are set up and look for alternatives with different drivers or printer models.

I checked with the basis team. They created a device but that didn't solve anything either. Is it possible to directly have a pdf preview within SAP and get it printed as a pdf?

Hi,

There is a device type PDF1 (depending on your release), if you set up a printer with this device type this may help.
