Hello Guru,

During archival there are various checks done in order to certify the document for archival. You still have entries

in the tables as they have not satisfied the archivability criteria. Some of the archivability criteria are:-

- Document doesn't have open items

- Account life criteria is satisfied for all the line items

- Document life criteria is satisfied for all the line items

etc....

One of the checks would have failed and so the entry would have remained in the tables. Hope that this clarifies the issue.

Hi Guru,

For archiving of FI Docs, it should not have any open items. So it is possible that the docs from FY 2005 still have open items.

Another possible reason is that these documents have not yet reached the residence time.

You can do a test run on some of the documents which are still in table BKPF from year 2005 and check the archive log (spool). You will find the reason for these documents not being archived in the spool. (make sure you select the complete log in the write job variant)

Hope this helps,

What if the Doc type is S6 ( Deleted Parked Documents) however it contains attach files? and their are no line items.

Hi Guru,

Go to transaction SARA, enter object FI_DOCUMNT and go to Customizing. Here you will find Application specific customizing where you can maintain residence time (account type life and document type life).

For information on account type life and document type life, please refer to the documentation:
