CCA Vs PCA

Dear Experts,

In one of my client's company code, cost center accounting and profit center accounting is activated. Since i had a doubt that, is there any specific reason for activating both CCA and PCA?

And i found that in field status group G004, cost center field is mandatory and in G029 profit center field is mandatory. is this correct?, for the field status variant, which is assigned to the above company code.

And when i am posting an expense voucher i am giving cost center AAA and profit center AAA, then the system over writing the profit center AAA with the dummy profit center. since i am not able to post the voucher with profit center AAA.

Please help me in this regard since it is an serious issue.
