Importing offline data set with hierarchy into Lumira Designer

Hello,

I need to merge different queries and data from an Excel file. Therefor I cant work with live data directly in Lumira designer and can't use hierarchies directly from SAP BW. Due to this I have the problem that I need to create a hierarchy in Lumira discovery which does not get transferred when adding the data source from discovery as offline data into the designer.

Is there any solution to transfer the hierarchy information or even create a new hierarchy in designer?

Thank you for your help!

Lucas, there may be 3rd party apps that do this available in the SAP App Center - see https://www.sapappcenter.com/home#!category/517

Hi Lucas,

Can you provide some screenshots showing how you are creating the hierarchy in Discovery and the result when you transfer to Designer?

What type of data source are you connecting to in Discovery for the hierarchy? If it is a BW BEx Query, my experience in the past is that such hierarchies are flattened to a level hierarchy in Discovery and they should transfer over to Designer as such with an offline data source.

Regards,

Mustafa.

Hello Mustafa,

thank you for your response.

In Discovery I am connecting to a BW BEx Query. I am not able to import the hierarchy of the Query, which is not a problem, because I need a slightly different hierarchy. Afterwards I create a hierarchy manually.

The result in discovery looks like this and works fine.

Adding the offline dataset in Designer the inital view looks looks like this:

Instead of the hierarchy I created I just see the elements of the hierarchy as usual elements. The lines saying hierarchies contain no hierarchy.

Do you have any suggestion, how to solve the problem?
