object access key required for DTP ABAP Routine

Hi,

when we are creating an ABAP routine for a DTP, the system requires an object access key for changing the generated program. Are we changing a standard SAP program here ? If yes and the object key is required, can this be transported to production as this is a generated program ?

I don't require this access key to create routines in transformations ...
