what is add-on feature means?

I see this in H1 help for the item 'otherwise' in P0001 feature

Any idea - what this means and when to use...

Hi,

Add on feature over here means calling program from the feature and defaulting the return value. This is used for few features and is not applicable for all.

The program identifies MOLGA of the person and calles appropriate country exit function HR_ADDON_FEATURE_xx passing parameters that allow the country exit to return value acc.to incoming structure. If anything fails, the default value of the particular feature is returned.

Feature (PE03) means that you can default the value of certain field based the fullfillment of certain criteria's. In P0001 means that there are diefferent screens in v_t588M and can be defaulted against different country groupings via feature P0001.

The return value of P0001 for otherwise condition is "RPCADD00"

RPCADD00 is a subroutine pool program. Display its source code in SE80/SE38 and you will know what this "add-on" feature does.
