Dear experts,

i am using Web Dynpro on a System with Release 7.0 without an Enhancement Package.

Now i tried to develope web dynpro on a System with Release 7.0 EHP 1.

In this System Iframe is not present. Can somebody tell me if it will return in EHP 2 or higher ?

Are you sure that the system is 7.0 Enhp1? The iFrame was depricated in 7.01 but not totally removed. At least in my systems it is present. It was removed from NetWeaver 7.1x however.

Regardless we do plan to un-depricate the UI element with NetWeaver 7.0 Enhnacement Package 2 and 7.20. It still has the same documented limitations, but will be supported within those limitations.

check this explanation from Thomas Jung:

"If you want to display external content in place within Web Dynpro ABAP via a URL, then the iFrame is about your only way to go. At one point we were going to depreciate the iFrame because of its limiations around state management and authentication. That deprecation was announced with 7.0 Enhp1 but the UI element was not actually removed or disabled. With 7.0 Enhp2 will un-depreciated the UI element. So it is safe to use as long as you understand the documented limiations."
