Hana express - Initialization of Streaming Server

Hi

Im trying to install HANA express 2.0 rev 23 into a vmware image with Open suse leap 42.3

I have choose to install all the component, but I get an error on the Initialization of Streaming Server. see line 2058 in the attached logfile.

I have also added the host files, to show how I have added the server names and FQDN. I have also turned of the firewall before installation. I may be that it a timout problem, but I have now struggeled a lot with the installation of Streaming service. Any tips will be highly appreciated.

When I run the command : ALTER DATABASE HXE ADD 'xsengine' I get the following error:

Could not execute 'ALTER DATABASE HXE ADD 'xsengine'' in 9 ms 774 µs . SAP DBTech JDBC: [2]: general error: nameserver failed to process the request;ltt exception: exception 70000000: ste::Exception type FileNotFound message /usr/sap/HXE/SYS/global/hdb/custom/config/DB_HXE/xsengine.ini additionalInfo file not found; $sysrc$=2; $sysmsg$=No such file or directory

I have added two screenshots of the file structure, and I see the the "missing" file is in the parent folder.

When I try to run the installation for streaming client again, I get an error saying that two files is missing. I can see the files with bak suffics... strange..

EDIT: just had to copy /usr/sap/HXE/SYS/global/hdb/custom/config/xsengine.ini to /usr/sap/HXE/SYS/global/hdb/custom/config/DB_HXE/xsengine.ini then i can execute

alter database TST add 'xsengine'

Do you run the latest version 2.2.3 ?

@Sankar - Can you start a new thread for your issue? Given that this thread was several months old and that there is a newer version of HANA Express available now, a separate thread will let folks focus on you specific issue more effectively.
