Hi
If an approver is away but misses to chose a substitue all approval WF is in status 'waiting for approval' until the approver returns to work. Is it possible for an administrator to chose a substitute on behalf of an appriover ?
Best regards
Jesper Dueholm
Hi,
It is possible to assign substitute using administrator txn-'RMPS_SET_SUBSTITUTE'.

Hi,
Ask your Administrator to choose the other approver so that the workflow can be directed and it can be released.
Better you can add in table "HRUS_D2 the substitute approver so that in his absence the substitute approver can approve the shopping cart

Hi, Go into table HRUS_D2 there you can maintain the substitute with a begining and end date alsp as Active or Passive.
I hope this helps.

Hi, If you want forward th workitem to the active approver then you can either do it through swi6 and and get the ready instance workitm number, its more easy if you go into swi5 and enter the user-id of the approver in who's approval inbox the workitem is sitting, find the workitem number and in swia enter the wi no: and click the forward icon from the menu option and enter the current approvers user-id the workflow should be sitting in the current approvers inbox for approval.
I hope this helps.
Cheers
