How to add BPC users in the batch?

I would like to add BPC users in the batch.

Does anyone know how to achieve this on BPC 7.0 MS?

I think it is almost impossible to add thousand of BPC users without errors via BPC Admin Console.

u can update the table tbluser. It will store the information of all BPC User.

though its not a recommended approach .Adding BPC User is a one time activity so it should be carried our from front end only through admin console manually

Hi,

The solution proposed by Sakthi will work if you want to give to all this account the same level of security.

Once you're in the "Add User", the AD filter will show all accounts. Just select all of them and choose team / task profile .. etc in next screens.

Maybe you could create seperate domain group like BPC Admins, BPC Users.. and so on. And create customized filter for each of them. So when you add your users, just select the right AD filter and give to them the right set of security parameters.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

Since we have to grant separate security to each user, it seems that your method cannot reduce our workload.

When we were in OutlookSoft 4.2, Users.xls was available for managing users in the batch. So we feel it's a shame BPC does not provide the similar mechanism.

Updating tblUsers may be a solution for our requirement but we also would like to apply profiles and teams to users in the batch. We will investigate what we can do a little more.

Hi Hiroshi Yaji,

Since you would like to apply profiles and teams to users in the batch,

suggest you look into these few tables: UserOwnerShip, UserProfile, UserTeamAssign and

UserTeamProfileAssign.

However, it is always a risk if you update these tables this way as preferred way

is still through the BPC Administration page.

Good luck!

SAP RIG America team develeoped it as a custom solution but it is internal testing now.

If you want to test, Please contact SAP RIG America Customer Care team.

After I approve from my manager, I can forward it to you as a test.

Please remember. It is not an official product solution but a custom solution that was not fully tested.

Thank you.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

We are interested in your solution.

Though I looked for the contact information of SAP RIG America Customer Care team,

I could not find it. Could you tell me how to contact them?

Should I consult Account Executive in Japan first?
