on creating a project and saving it the project definition gets greyed out.I want it to be editable.in IDES its editable but in another client the same is greyed out.what could be the way out.

Hi Shekar Prasad,
Check whether the below mentioned authorizations are given or not in the role assigned to your user id.
1. Authorization Object - C_PROJ_KOK
Activity - PS_ACTVT
Activity Numbers - 02, 06, 45
2. Authorization Object - C_PROJ_PRC
Activity - PS_ACTVT
Activity Numbers - 02, 06, 45
If you are still facing problem open any project in cj20n and check immediatly in SU53 for authorisation missing objects.

Try with transaction variant t code SHD0, using this you can change this field as mandatory for all the time.
