Restricting Users - Usability Package

Hi All,

I want to restrict certian users from updating the payment terms like credit limit, commitment limit in the business partner vendor record. Also i want to have trigger / alert to the manager whenever someone is trying to unathurised. I heard that Usability Package can be used for this scenario.

Could someone please explain and throw light on this subject.
