BATCH MANAGEMENT INDICATOR

Hi,

In Material master data filed batch management indicator is active,

But while creating sales order,at item level-sales tab A -Batch tab is not seen.(VBAP-CHARG)

So while doing PGI get the error as enter batch.

In change log for sales order,it is showing Batch management indicator changed(XCHPF)

Please advice

When a material is batch managed, you need to specify the batch no only at the time of goods movements. Hence the system would ask for the batch no at the time of picking / PGI since it involvees goods movements.

The idea is that at the time of sales order creation (at the sales office), they would not be aware which batch would be sent. The batch no is only determined when the material is ready to be shipped.

But at sales order item level Batch tab is not seen at sales tab A,due to this batch management indicator as well as Batch tab is in display mode in delivery at item level.

Therefore while doing PGI getting Error as enter batch.
