How to link PRs generated by MRP Run with a single PO created by Purch. dep

Hi SAP Gurus,

I am having a query. It is given as below.

MRP run is generating Procurement Proposals for raw materials. There might be multiple Procurement Proposals for single item, depending on the demand/supply situations in the system at the time of the MRP Run.

Purchase department is referring these proposals and creating PO manually, for the combined requirement (in practical purchasing lots) of the item. As there are multiple procurement proposals for a single item with theoretical quantities, Purchase department is unable to link these proposals in the combined PO released for the purchase of these items. It is not practically feasible to create multiple POs against each of these MRP generated PRs, unless a special PO processing facility is provided to meet the user requirement.

Could you tell me how to map this scenario in SAP?

Sangeetha,

I would suggest you to use the Auto PO creation funcationality of SAP, here you can combine multiple PR to a Single PO with multiple items referance to PR. You can do this using transaction ME59N, and the prerequisites are discussed in details in the thread here...[AUTO PO Creation|;
