Product cost estimation

Dear co experts,

It is possible to estimate the product cost online on day to day basis in sap.

If it is possible , pls explain the process.

HI,

Cost estimate is possible only once in a month. It is not possible to have in eveyday basis.

If you want the price everyday, you can use MR21 transaction code to update directly instead of cost estimation.

Thanks for your early response.

I have another doubt in Variance analasys.

At the time settlement of variance analasys A/c entry is PRD dr and inventory is credited and in some situvation PRD is Cr and Inventory is Dr.

My doubt on which situvation in the above entries are effected

and one more doubt what is A/C entry at the time of settlement of Production order

If the values positives CCA Dr

Orders Cr

If the values are nagative Orders Dr

CCA are Dr

It is correct or not, Pls clarify

HI,

At the time of settlement, your finished goods inventoty account is Credited and Price difference accoutn is debited. FYI, price differnce value comes from ur standard cost and actual cost.

HI,

When you do reversal of GR, 102 movement, you will get the entry as PRD cr and consumption accoutn Dr.

Please let me know the complete scenario to answer in better way

Hi

In your costing variant there is a date control. The date control says how long the product costing is for. I assume this is what you are looking for.

I have not tried it on daily, but these settings seem to allow you to do it daily.

Go to IMG to controlling -> Product cost controlling -> Product Cost Planning -> Material Cost estimate with Qty structure -> here you will find settings for costing variant. if you go one step further to ->Costing Variant Components - > Define date control.

Here you can set several options. The to and from can be set to current date and so on.
