How to use Table Splitting and exclude table while system export

Hi,

I have to do a system copy for SAP upgrade by using SAPinst Export Import.

For same I would like to have information on following points.

u2022 How to use Table splitting function while doing system export.

u2022 How to exclude table while system export.

So please can you let me know who to do the same or if any one having document for same then please send to my ID.

Hi,

Dont know why you want to exclude a table. But if u really want to exclude a table, you can do it by :

1. Drop the table from the database

2. Delete the table entry from the nametab tables DDFTX, DDNTF, DDNTT on database level

As such I have never excluded table from export.

But this is what we do, while we do unicode conversion and we want to exclude some tables from being exported. It is mentioned in Unicode Conversion guides.

Exclude tables? Why do you want to do that? (--> it's not possible by default).
