Consumption values

Dear all

I want to know whether system updates consumption values in the forecast view of mat master automatically or not and which movement type it considers for consumption.

movement type it considers for consumption. normally the consumption will happen for the components only in which the it is consumed in the finish product.

a. for components - mvmt 261

Do GI for the component and check in the material master forecast view, in the cosumption tab , the value ge updated for the particular material.s

System automatically updates the consumption values based on MRP type (VV).

I think it will work for MRP type PD, please check in SPRO settings for MRP types PD and VV.

Check this settings in MRP types

Forecast ind. + Obligatory forecast

Cons. Ind. F'cast G Total consumption

MRP Ind. Forecast G Total requirements

Reduce forecast Reduce forecast value by consumption

Now can I change in Consumption indicator forecast to Total consumption in std MRP type PD

Hi

It will not affect any other functionality of the MRP type, since you are not stopping the any functions the MRP type PD. So you can do the changes in your testing system and check the result , then you can take decison based on your testing.
