Hi Experts,
I am using Planning book(data view), where all level of buisness KFs are shown. Now I am facing problem to give autherizations on a KF level. Because I have seen the autherization on Planning book/Dataview level in SAP.
Requirement: Sales manager can only edit his KF not VP's KF.
Thanks & Best Regards,
Hitesh.
Hi,
I think there is some authorization for key figures also. But there is problem comes while opening the planning book/Data view.
E.g. If you have some key figures in the Data view say KF1 & KF2. Now you have to edit only KF1 not KF2. Then in that case you would select KF1 in authoization not for KF2. But problem is that if you open the planning book/Data View system shows error that KF2 key figure having no authorization.
So i would suggest to Gray out VP`s key figure in to data view for Sales person. Here is the setting, Click on the design button, select VP`s key figure & right click on it. then select output option.then save & come back to planning book. Now no one can Edit VP`s key figure. Then create saperate Data View for the VP. If VP will not change sales person Ky figure then do the same thing as mentioned above.
If i will get the solution through authorization of key figures then surely i will let you know.

Thanks Sujay & Somnath for your input.
I am aware with the T-Code /SAPAPO/SDPPLBK and we can give authorization on pl. book/ data view level.
But I want on KF level, as Sujay said there is a way to give on KF level also. I am waiting sujay for your help on this.
One question here: I need to set for all levels like for their KF give input/out and others should be gray out. But Really i can make this on user to user basis? and they cannot change these user settings?
And Is this the right approach of doing or so do we need to give all levels a different data view?
Thanks for your advise!
Hitesh
Hi,
This is the common approach i have suggested to you. With the help of Input/Output & Output option you can restrict key figures for respective users & to use this type of functionality you have to create diffrent planning books/Data View for different users.
Anyways, I am looking for your key figure specific authorization option & surely let you know soon.
Regards
Sujay
Hello Hitesh,
This is a common practice having different books and views for the roles, and true that we have to have.
Coming to your requirement, i have a question.., when you want to control a keyfigure ! does this for only one user or many? becuase i come accross the same issue couple of months ago..
My requirement was, one keyfigure should be opened for only one user in the data view, and the same has to close for all other users.. when i check with basis team i have not get any help and finally i made a default macro to make the same.
It is not suggestible to have more default macro's, since this will have performance issue, but when we wont find a way then we need to go like...
my suggestion here is, if it is for limited users, we can make this by default macro...
Let me know if you need to understand the macro structure.

Hi Hitesh,
Macro: Macro name
IF
condition: CHECK USER
operator: USER('user number') = 0
step: choose the entire future horizon
result row: ROW ( ATTRIBUTE) =
operataor: CELL_INPUT(0)
operataor +
operatao: rCELL_BG(9)
hope this wil help you, in you are facing any problem in generating macro, left your email id, i will send you a screen shot of generated one.

Hi Hitesh,
What Sujay mentioned is the most common approach.
Different business roles should be using different Planning Books (not Data Views).
Depending on the business role, keep relevant keyfigures Editable and remianing keyfigures Display Only. On the business security role you can specify the planning books to which the business role will have access to. This way the business user cannot access data in another planning book.
And if the business role/users have one to one mapping with planning book then use transaction /SAPAPO/SDPPLBK to assign the relevant planning book to the users and check the Specific Book option. This way the users can see only that particular planning book in Interactive Planning and no other books.
Hope this helps.
