in OVZG requirement class setting what is the use of order type field , in which scenari is it useful.

This is basically Production order type...

One scenario is for ho costing can be done for that requirement type, and another may be determination of number ranges.....

Order Type in Requiement Class is the Key that differentiates orders according to their purpose.

The order type contains a range of parameters which affect the way the order is processed.

For example, using the order type, you can specify

o The number ranges to be used for the orders

o Which criteria are used when selecting a routing

o How the order is to be costed.

Hi,

Lets take an example :

You are manufacturer of TV sets, and also provide services and repairing of TV.

In that case when any TV set will come into ur place then there will be requirement check, and with respect to this respectively u have to create SM01 Service order if it doesnt have any order reference or SM03 when it has sales order reference.

The order type in requirement type will make system to consider these also.

1 i want to kno this SM01 Service order is PP order type rite

2 also does this sm01order gets created automatically as soon as i create repair/service order from sd side.

3 i've created a repair order va01 order type RA -here i'm getting item category IRRA & in procurement tab req type is SE

i'm getting confused cos there are so many item cat IRRA/IRRE/IRPA/IRRS -which one is the correct one & when these item cat we hav to use

also req type we have SE/SERA/SERP which we have to use

This order type may be of PP, QM even CO......if u will go there and type F4 u can see the list....

There are different item category u can assign these based on your requirement,,,,, Like....

IRPA Fixed Rate Repairs

IRRA Repair Costs

IRRE Return for Repairs

IRRP Repair

IRRS Rep. Serv. Resources

Requirement type can automatically determined by the customize setting.
